After 21 days on the road, the Cyclebetes relay to cure juvenile diabetes is almost completed. The team is now in BC riding through the rockies. My mum and I will fly down on Saturday morning from Whitehorse to go and join them to cross the finish line in Victoria on Sunday. We are so excited to see our Cyclebetes friends again and to get back on our tandem bike to ride again. This was such an amazing experience and we hope many people will get a chance like us to be involved and experience it in the future. According to my mum (and I agree ;-), there is nothing better in life than meeting amazing and inspiring people like those invovled with Cyclebetes, riding a tandem bike with a loved one, doing something fun for a good cause, seeing some amazing part of the world at 25km/hr, raising money and awareness to help find a cure for a disease that affects millions of kids and families and more than anything else spending some priceless time with your child on a tandem bike training and riding while talking about birds and trees, flowers and all sorts of very important little things about life that we so often overlook in our busy lives. Cyclebetes ROCK !!!
